Two People Arrested After £1m Cannabis Seizure
Two people have been arrested after police seized cannabis worth an estimated £1 million in Belfast.
The discovery was made during searches in the south of the city on Thursday, 09 August.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested in Stranmillis and a 48-year-old man was detained on the Lisburn Road.
They are being held in police custody.
A police spokesperson said: "The seizure of these drugs has removed a substantial amount of cannabis and prevented £1m from falling into the hands of organised criminals who profit from others' misery."

Cannabis plants, a quantity of herbal cannabis and equipment used in the cultivation were recovered. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of a number of drugs offences.
