Driver Arrested After Collision With Cyclist

A 23-year-old has been arrested following a collision with a cyclist in west Belfast on Sunday, 14 October.

A male cyclist was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries after being struck by a car on the Glenside Road in Dunmury.

The incident happened shortly before 8.30am on Sunday morning and the driver was arrested on suspicion of a number of driving offences.

Two ambulances attended the scene, along with an Air Ambulance, which landed on Donegal Celtic's football pitch to gain access to the crash scene.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said the cyclist was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The road remained closed on Sunday evening.

Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Paula Elliott
The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Paula Elliott, who was last seen on Tuesday, 05 March. The 52-year-old was last seen on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm, before making her way to Warren Gardens at around 5.36pm.

PSNI Appeal For Information Following Banbridge Shooting
PSNI Detectives have issued an appeal for information following a shooting incident in Banbridge on Friday, 12 April. Shortly after 8pm, it was reported that a man aged in his 40s had been shot in his abdomen while in the car park on Rathfriland Road. Taken to hospital, his condition has been described as serious.
