Dog Walker Subjected To Homophobic Abuse In L'Derry
Police are investigating a report that a man out walking his dog in L'Derry was subjected to homophobic abuse.
The "hate incident" happened in the Ballymagroarty area of the city on Wednesday, October 24, at around 10pm.
PSNI Constable Lynn said: "We received a report that a man out walking a dog in the Ringford Road area, near a local school, was shouted at by a group of youths who followed him up the road.
"At this time, we are treating this as a homophobic hate incident and our enquiries are continuing. We are appealing to anyone who was in the Ringfort Road area around this time and saw what happened or anyone who can help us identify those involved to get in touch on the non-emergency number 101."

Belfast Charity Warns Against Scaring Dogs On Halloween
A Belfast-based charity has warned trick-or-treaters against scaring dogs over the halloween period, and said that homeless people and their pets are especially vulnerable.
Street Paws founder Michelle Southern, who looks after homeless people and their pets, said the fancy dress outfits scare dogs.
She said: "The dog doesn't know why people are dressed up. If they're approached by them it could make them scared or anxious.
"It's tough the whole year round, but winter, Halloween and bonfire night are especially tough for homeless people.
"It's not as if they can go home, shut the door, and shut the curtains and provide a safe space, they have to just tough it out while they are both homeless and remain on the streets."
The charity was founded by Ms Southern in Newcastle in 2017 and launched in Belfast in August 2018. It provides free veterinary care to animals owned by people who are homeless or vulnerably housed.
