Woman Left With 'Life-Changing Injuries' After Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a two vehicle crash in which a woman was left with potentially life-changing injuries.

The collision happened on the Comber Road in Dundondald, near the Billy Neill Sports Grounds on Saturday 10 November and was reported to police at 1.10pm.

A grey Audi A3 and a red Volkswagen Polo were involved in the crash.

The female, who was driving alone in the Polo, was taken to hospital with what have been described as life-changing injuries.

Both the driver and passenger of the Audi were also taken to hospital for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who was driving along the Comber Road between 12.30pm and 1.10pm and who saw the vehicles or may have captured the collision on a dash cam to contact them on 101.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.

Two die in separate road accidents
A man and woman have died in two separate road accidents in Belfast and Bessbrook A 25-year-old man died after a Green Renault Clio, which had been stolen earlier in the morning, crashed on the Hannahstown Road in west Belfast. Three other people were taken to hospital after the accident which occurred at 0600 BST on Thursday.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Injured In Collision In Lisnaskea
A man is believed to be suffering serious head injuries following a one vehicle crash near Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh. The collision occurred before 9am on Monday close to a quarry on the Dernawilt Road. The man was taken to South West Acute Hospital. The road has been closed and diversions are in place.
