Young Man Dies In Ballycastle Collision

A young man has died and two others injured in a serious collision in County Antrim.

Sean McAlonan, who was in his 20's, lost his life in the crash in Ballycastle shortly before 6am on Sunday 25 November.

The three men were travelling in a white Citroen Berlingo van when the incident occurred on the Glenshesk Road. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.

PSNI Inspector Bradley said: "Police attended along with other emergency services. Two of the occupants were taken to hospital for their injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

"Sadly, the third victim in the van was pronounced dead at the scene.

"I want to appeal to anyone who was on the Glenshesk Road around 6am this morning and witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have captured dash cam footage to contact us. I would also appeal to anyone who believes they saw this vehicle prior to the collision to get in touch."

Anyone with information can contact officers using the non-emergency line 101, quoting reference number 386 of 25 November.
