Police Gain More Time To Question L'Derry Murder Suspects

Detectives investigating the murder of a man near his home in L'Derry have been granted more time to question two suspects.

The two men, aged 26 and 31, are being questioned over the death of 52-year-old Eddie Meenan, whose body was found in the city's Creggan Street in the early hours of Sunday 25 November.

The father-of-nine and grandfather had suffered significant injuries to his head and body.

Police confirmed on Tuesday 27 that they were allocated an extra 36 hours to question the suspects.

A 19-year-old man and 35-year-old woman who were arrested on Monday also remain in police custody on suspicion of murder.

Police Granted Further Time To Question Murder Suspects
Police investigating a recent murder in Clogher have been granted an additional 28 hours to question two people on suspicion of murder. The body of 30-year-old Pat Ward was found in an alleyway on Saturday morning, 09 February. Police immediately launched a murder enquiry following the discovery.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed in Antrim during the early hours of Monday, 18 March. The 26-year-old was walking in an alleyway adjacent to Seacash Drive at around 3.50am when he was approached by two men.
