Game Of Thrones Exhibition To Open In Belfast
A major Game of Thrones display is set to open in Belfast next Spring.
It will be hosted at the Titanic Exhibition Centre from April until September and will feature immersive experiences based on the HBO fantasy series.
Fans will have the chance to gain an up-close look at the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into the series, which was partially shot in Northern Ireland.
Jeff Peters, a vice president at HBO said: "Given the unique and central role that Northern Ireland has played in the life and legacy of the show, we are thrilled that we are bringing Game Of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition to Belfast.
"We're so happy to invite our fans in Northern Ireland, the rest of the UK and the Republic of Ireland to join us in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast to immerse themselves in the world of Game Of Thrones."
West Belfast Security Alert Sees Road Closed Again
The police have sealed off a road in west Belfast due to reports of an explosive device in the area.
Upper Dunmurry Lane between the junctions of Corrina Park and Creightons Road/Old Golf Course Road is closed as part of "an ongoing police search".
There are no further details at this stage, according to the PSNI.
The search comes after an operation over the weekend to locate a possible device in the area.
That search, which saw a number of roads closed in the Old Golf Course Road vicinity, did not uncover any device.
However, it is understood that more detailed information about the location of a device, and that it is viable, has been obtained by police.
Local sources say the road closures over the weekend "caused chaos".
Human Rights Progression Is Vital- SDLP
To mark Human Rights Day, Monday 10 December, the SDLP has spoken out to acknowledge Northern Ireland's progress in the area and called for further improvements.
Mark Durkan MLA said the journey ahead involves achieving equality for all citizens.
"This year marks a number of important human rights anniversaries here, including the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement and 20 years since the signing of GFA," the Foyle MLA said.
"Northern Ireland's foundations are steeped in the attaining of rights for the people, driven by the people.
"Human Rights day provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on how far we have come and to acknowledge how far we have yet to go.
"We are living through one of the most precarious times in world politics- and as such we all have an important role to play in bringing about positive change and advancing universal rights both on a local and global level."
