Two Charged Over Attempted Hijiacking In Newtownabbey
Two men have been charged in connection with a hijacking attempt in Newtownabbey, County Antrim.
The incident happened in the early hours of Wednesday, 12 December.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted hijacking, resisting police, assault of police and disorderly behaviour following the alleged incident.
He will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday, 07 January.
A 20-year-old man has also been charged with disorderly behaviour and resisting police.
He will appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday, 13 December.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.

The PSNI have welcomed a two-year Stalking Protection Order (SPO) handed down to a 46-year-old Belfast man at Belfast Magistrates Court. The man had been found guilty of stalking and harassing his 50-year-old female ex-partner.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Charged With Attempted Murder Of Police Officer
A man has been charged after allegedly attempting to murder a PSNI officer in Lurgan. Police said they charged the 41-year-old man with attempted murder, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrate Court on Monday February 6.
