Armed Response Unit Arrest Man Outside Belfast McDonald's

Officers from the PSNI's Armed Response Unit were involved in an operation outside a Belfast fast food restaurant on Tuesday 18 December which led to the arrest of a 25-year-old man.

The individual is suspected of disorderly behaviour outside McDonald's at Connswater, leaving members of the public stunned.

Police said the man was questioned at the east Belfast restaurant and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

It is believed the individual was visibly distressed and caused disruption to the diners.

Police Probe Robberies

The victim was forced to drive her white Audi from Dudley street to Glencolin Close in west Belfast. She was then put into a white van while her captors demanded money from her relative, who manages a petrol station.

Cyclist Killed In North Down
A cyclist has been killed following a collision with a lorry. It is understood that the victim is male and aged in his 30s. The incident happened on the A1 carriageway outside Newry at about 20:30 on Thursday. The man died in hospital a short time after arrival. No details on the man's identity have been released.

Man Arrested Following Serious Assault In Belfast
A man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault outside a fast food restaurant in Belfast city centre. The attack happened in the Donegall Place area at around 12.35am on Sunday, 12 August. An altercation is believed to have started inside the restaurant which continued outside.
