Suspicious Object Sparks Antrim Security Alert

Police are currently dealing with a security alert in County Antrim.

The discovery of a suspicious object sparked the operation on the A6 Belfast Road on Thursday 31 January.

The road has been closed between the New Lodge and Rathmore roads.

Diversions are in place and airport traffic is not likely to be affected.

Security Alert In L'Derry
A suspicious object has been discovered on the outskirts of L'Derry. The object was found in a laneway off the Drunahoe Road. Police and army bomb experts are at the scene. The Drumahoe Road has been closed at its junctions with the Fincairn Road and Church Road.

Security Alerts Underway In Tyrone And L'Derry
Two security alerts are underway in Co Tyrone and Co L'Derry. In Co Tyrone the Urney Road has been closed between Bells Road and Bellspark Road. Police are urging the public not to touch any suspicious objects in the area and diversions have been put in place.
