Pensioner Dies Weeks After Being Struck By Car
A pensioner has died weeks after she was run over while walking in County Down.
The woman in her 80's was struck by a car on the Bangor Road in Newtownards shortly before 4pm on Thursday 17 January.
It has since been confirmed that she died of her injuries.
Officers have issued a fresh appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any dash-came footage to get in touch by calling the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference 776 of 17/01/19.

Driver killed as car collides with lamppost
A 22-year-old man has been killed in a road traffic accident in Belfast. The accident occurred on the King's Road in Knock area shortly before midnight on Monday October 28. The man, who has not yet been named, died when his car struck a lamppost. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident.

The PSNI have named a man who died following a road traffic collision outside Tandragee, as 84-year-old Sidney McIldoon. Mr McIldoon, who was from Portadown, died following a collision between his vehicle and a tractor on Tuesday afternoon, 13th February on the Cornascriebe Road, between Tandragee and Hamiltonsbawn.
