Public Reminded To Remain Vigilant Against Scams
Police are urging people in County Armagh to beware of scams and remain vigilant when receiving any suspicious phone calls.
It comes after a number of reports in the area of calls featuring an automated voice message that claims to be from HMRC, warning potential victims they are being investigated for tax fraud.
The caller warns that if the person does not press 1 to speak to an operator they will soon be arrested.
Police in Armagh said the scam was active in the area yesterday, Thursday 07 March, and urged the public not to be fooled by such calls.
Officers also thanked those who reported the suspect messages.

Appeal Following Theft Of Quad Bikes And Trailer In Magherafelt
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the theft of three quad bikes and a quad trailer in the Magherafelt area last week. On Tuesday 5th March police received reports that a Dark Green Suzuki King 750CC Quad and a Red 2022 4x4 quad had been taken from two neighbouring properties in the Quilly Road area of Moneymore.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fatal collision in Armagh in the early hours of Sunday, 24 March. A driver and three passengers died when the grey Volkswagen Golf they were travelling in crashed on the Ballynahonemore Road at around 2.10am.
