Pedestrian Dies After L'Derry Collision

A man in his 80s has died after he was involved in a collision in L'Derry.

The incident happened at Crescent Link at around 8pm on Thursday 14 March.

Police said the man, who was a pedestrian, was taken to hospital but later passed away from his injuries.

A Citroen car was involved in the crash and the driver was spoken to at the scene.

The road was closed for some time but has since reopened.

A man has been arrested after a woman was killed in a crash in Co Armagh. The collision happened on the Newry Road just before 3.30am on Sunday. The 25-year-old male is being detained by police on a number of motoring offences. The road has been reopened.

Man dies in road collision
A man has been killed in a collision involving a lorry and a car in Co Londonderry. It happened at about 10.30am this morning on the road between Coleraine and Swatragh near Maghera. Diversions were in place after the accident and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Three Killed On NI Roads
Three people have died on Northern Ireland's roads this past weekend. A man was fatally injured after being hit by a car in Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone. He was Zbigniew Bartnicki, a 52-year-old Polish national. Police said he was walking along the Tullyvar Road in Aughnacloy at about 8.45pm on Saturday when he was hit by a Vauxhall car.
