Appeal After North Belfast Assault

Police are appealing for information after a report that two men were assaulted in north Belfast on Sunday evening while attempting to rob a house in the area.

The incident occurred at around 7pm in Boyd Street on 07 April when the two men forced entry to a property while armed with a knife and a gun.

A short time later, a number of males arrived in the area in a white Ford Kuga and assaulted them with iron bars.

The injured men, aged 35 and 32, were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries and later arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and possession of a firearm.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the assault or who may have seen the white vehicle in the area to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 1210 of 07/04/19.

Guns stolen in Co Antrim assault
Police are appealing for information after a gang assaulted a man and stole his guns in Co Antrim. The masked men forced their way into the man's home in Burnbrae in Bushmills at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning. They hit the man before tying his hands behind his back and escaping with three guns.

Afghanistan Veteran On Rape Charge
A bomb-blasted former soldier has appeared in court in Belfast charged with rape and false imprisonment. Gerald Verner, 23, of Forthriver Park, who was deafened by a bomb in Afghanistan, is also accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm, sexual assault and threats to kill against the same woman.

Man Attacked During Aggravated Burglary In South Belfast
A number of masked men attacked a 24-year-old man during an aggravated burglary in south Belfast. The assault happened at a property in the Malfin Drive area at around 10.10pm on Wednesday, 07 September. One man has been arrested and is being questioned at Musgrave Police Station. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police issue appeal following knife attack
Police have appealed for information about a serious assault in Londonderry, which resulted in a man receiving 16 stitches to his throat. The 32-year-old man was walking along Westland Street when two men confronted him around 2.30 on Thursday June 13. One pushed him and the other grabbed him from behind and put a knife against his throat.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Coleraine
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following an assault in Coleraine on Saturday morning, 12th August. Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: "Police received a report shortly after 10.50am that a man had been assaulted by a number of other men in the Heights area of the town.
