Man Hospitalised After Belfast City Centre Attack

A man has been hospitalised after he was assaulted by a gang in Belfast city centre on Saturday morning, 13 April.

The incident occurred in the Waring Street area at around 3am.

The man, who was one of two victims, was left with a fractured eye socket while the other sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or may have mobile phone footage to contact them at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference number 151 of 13/04/19. Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Woman's Mugging Blights City Centre
Belfast city centre's image has again been blighted by a violent incident with news today of a woman being mugged yesterday by two thieves. The PSNI said that she was approached by the two men at the junction of Lombard Street and Rosemary Street. It happened in daylight hours at around 2.30pm on Monday.
