Pair Threatened At Knife Point In Belfast Aggravated Burglary

Police have launched an investigation after an aggravated burglary at a house in Belfast.

The incident occurred in Cadogan Street, in the Stranmillis area of the city at around 10.15pm on Tuesday 14 May.

The man entered the house and threatened two females who were inside while armed with a knife. He also threatened another woman and man who entered the premises, before making off with money and jewellery.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information relating to the burglary to contact them on non-emergency line 101.

Govt Urged To Implement Pensions For Victims
The UK Government has been urged to implement a pension scheme for those who were severely and permanently injured as a result of The Troubles. Publishing advice to Government, the Victims Commissioner said the payments should be introduced "as quickly as possible", and suggested a tiering system based on the severity of injuries.

Investigation After Man Dies At NI Harbour
An investigation is underway after a man died at Warrenpoint Harbour, County Down. Emergency services attended the scene at around 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon, 18 July. The casualty is believed to have been a worker at the harbour, and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed about the incident.

Gang Punch And Threaten Man At Knifepoint In North Belfast
A gang have threatened a man at knifepoint and punched him during an aggravated burglary in north Belfast. The incident happened at a flat at Ross House in the Mount Vernon area at around 7.45pm on Sunday. The man's sister was also forced into a bedroom, however she was not injured. The 23-year-old man was punched in the face.
