Injured Man Found In Street After Assault

A man has been hospitalised for injuries he sustained in an attack in Larne.

The victim was found in the Point Street area of the County Antrim town at around 10.35pm last night, Wednesday 22 May.

He had been assaulted a short time earlier close to the underpass and suffered serious facial injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 2244 of 22/5/19.

Concern Grows For Man Last Seen In Belfast
The family of a man who has been missing for a week after he was last seen in Belfast are becoming increasingly concerned for his whereabouts. Matthew Jamison was in Belfast City Centre on Monday 02 September and has not been seen since. Police believe he may have travelled to London.

Man Attacked In Co Antrim
Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked on a garage forecourt in Co Antrim. The assault occurred in the Castle Street area in Ballycastle at around 6.45pm on Saturday. The victim, aged in his 50s, suffered injuries to his leg and a fractured eye socket. He is currently being treated in hospital.

Man Jailed For Rape & Sexual Assault
A 30-year-old man has been jailed after he was convicted of rape and two counts of sexual assault. The Lurgan man was sentenced to three years and nine months imprisonment on Tuesday 10 September at Craigavon Crown Court. Police have welcomed the sentencing and commended the female victim for pursuing her case.
