Two Arrested Over Lisburn Murder

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Paul Smyth in Lisburn.

Mr Smyth, 50, was found dead in the living room of his house in Coulson Avenue at around 8.45pm on Friday 21 June. Police later confirmed he had been shot.

The two men, aged 29 and 32, remain in custody.

Police have renewed their appeal for information about the shooting. Anyone who knows anything that could potentially assist the investigation can get in touch by calling non-emergency line 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A 49-year-old man arrested earlier in the investigation was released unconditionally.

Two men, aged 28 and 32 and a woman aged 28 were released on bail pending further enquiries.

Two Men Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder Released
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of George Gilmore have been released unconditionally. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The two suspects were detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 29 March.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Four Released After Woman Injured In Co Tyrone
Four people have been released on bail pending further enquiries after a woman was injured in a house in Co Tyrone. Three men, aged 24, 25 and 34, and a woman, aged 29, were arrested following an incident in the Mourne Crescent area on Monday, 14 November. The injured woman is being treated in hospital.
