Three people escape injury in arson attack
Three people have escaped injury following an arson attack at a house in north Belfast last night.
The incident occurred at the house in Gardenmore, near the Old Cavehill Road.
A bin containing a flammable liquid was set alight against the back door of the property.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 028 9065 0222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Parents and guardians have been urged to talk to young people about the dangers of vaping unknown substances as it could make them seriously ill or even be fatal. The Public Health Agency (PHA) warning focuses in particular on the dangers of vaping 'Spice', a synthetic drug which mimics the effects of cannabis.

PHA Warns Of Increasing Cases Of Tuberculosis In NI
The Public Health Agency (PHA) has issued a warning over a steady increase in cases of tuberculosis (TB) in Northern Ireland since 2020. There were 77 cases of TB notified to the PHA in 2023, an increase from 68 cases reported in 2022 and 55 cases reported in both 2021 and 2020.

Man And Woman Jailed For 'Brutal And Senseless Attack'
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two people at Laganside Crown Court for a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 26-year-old Dylan Black, from the Lisburn area, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He will serve three years on license.
