Man Attacked With Baseball Bats In North Belfast
A man has been left with a suspected broken leg after he was attacked with baseball bats in north Belfast.
Police are investigating the incident, which occurred in the Hartwell Place area this morning, 15 August, as a suspected paramilitary style attack.
Two masked men armed with baseball bats approached a man in his 30's at around 2.25am. After being assaulted, the man was taken to hospital with what is believed to be a broken leg.
Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan slammed those responsible. She said: "This was a vicious and brutal assault, in which there is no justification for this type of attack. We met all work together to bring those responsible to justice and stop this from happening to anyone else."
Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 116 of 15/08/19. Alternatively, details can be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A gang has attacked a man with baseball bats at a house in Larne, Co Antrim. The assault occurred at a property on Bank Road at around 1.20am on Monday, 26 September. The 37-year-old victim sustained injuries including broken ribs and a fractured shoulder.
