Sydenham Bypass Collision Causing Long Delays
Belfast city-bound motorists travelling from Bangor and Holywood are advised to avoid the Sydenham Bypass this afternoon, Friday 04 October, following a collision.
Four cars are understood to have been involved in the crash, which occurred outside the entrance to Belfast City Airport.
Police said the slip road to the airport is closed to traffic.
Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route and allow extra time for their journey.

Suspicious Object Found In East Belfast
A suspicious object has been found in east Belfast. Police and army bomb experts are at the scene. The Sydenham Road has been closed and diversions have been put in place. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area. No further details have been released.

Motorists advised to plan around Balmoral Show
Motorists attending the Balmoral Show are asked to leave extra time for their journey and be aware of the ongoing roadworks on the M1/Westlink. Balmoral show organisers, Roads Service and HMC, the contractors for the M1/Westlink works, have been liaising to facilitate the large number of visitors expected at the show.

Motorists are being advised to take extra care on the roads this weekend as the May Day Bank Holiday approaches. So far this year, 38 people have died as a result of road traffic collisions.

Motorists advised 'Watch Your Speed' in metric
Motorists crossing the border are being advised to pay close attention to their speed as changes in speed limits come into force in the Republic of Ireland today. The Garda Síochána have warned that there will be no leniency given to motorists who fail to observe the new speed limits.
