Appeal As Woman Missing For Over A Week

Police in east Belfast have issued an appeal regarding a woman who was last seen over a week ago.

Lesley McCrea has not been spotted since Sunday 29 September, when she was seen on the Lead Hill/ Ballygowan Road areas at around 2pm.

Anyone who may have come across Lesley, or holds any information regarding her disappearance is urged to contact police on non-emergency line 101 quoting reference 2086 of 07/10/19.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Pedestrian killed on Westlink
A pedestrian was killed on the Westlink at around 1.30am on Thursday morning. The Westlink, which was closed for approximately six hours, has now been reopened. The man's name has not yet been released. Elsewhere, four people have been injured following a collision on the M1 which involved two lorries and a car.
