Co Antrim Incident Prompts Call For Vigilance

Police have expressed concern following an incident at the home of an elderly woman in Co Antrim.

An unknown male called at a house on the Doury Road in Ballymena on Monday afternoon, 21 October. It's understood he entered the home without permission after requesting a glass of water.

A police spokesperson explained: "The lady in good will went to get the glass of water only to return and find the male in her bedroom.

"The male ran off and thankfully nothing was stolen.

"Police would ask the local community to remain vigilant, report suspicious activity and report cold callers.

"Please keep an eye on the most vulnerable in our community."
