Attempted ATM Theft Closes Co Down Road

A Co Down road has been closed as police deal with an attempted ATM theft.

Motorists are advised to avoid the Belfast Road, Ballynahinch following the attempted cash machine theft from a petrol station in the area.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Please find an alternative route, if possible."

Appeal Following Attempted ATM Theft In Ballymena
PSNI detectives investigating an attempted ATM theft at a service station on Cushendall Road in Ballymena overnight, have issued an appeal for information and witnesses. It is understood that three men were involved in trying to force the door of the room housing the machine shortly after 2am. They made off without gaining entry.

Appeal After ATM Stolen In Co Fermanagh
Detectives are investigating after thieves used a digger to rip an ATM from a shop in County Fermanagh. A filling station on the Dromore Road, Irvinestown was targeted at around 4.05am on Sunday morning, 24 March. Police believe the digger, which was set alight after the theft, was stolen from a nearby building site.
