Man Dies In Co Armagh Fire

A man has died in a house fire in Co Armagh, it has emerged.

Fire crews responded to reports of a blaze at a property in Derrynoose shortly after 11am on Wednesday 04 December.

The 34 year-old was confirmed dead at the scene.

A fire in a downstairs bedroom in the two storey house had burnt itself out. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service offered their sympathies to the family and friends of the man.

Fatal House Fire In Newtownards
A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Man Dies In Co L'Derry House Fire
A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Man Dies In Co.Antrim House Fire
An elderly man has died in a house fire in County Antrim last night. The man believed to be in sixties died when a fire broke out at his home on the Bush Road between Ballymoney and Dervock at around 9pm on Tuesday.

Public Safety Minister Edwin Poots has opened a new £4.4m Community Fire Station in Omagh, County Tyrone. The new Community Fire Station & District Headquarters on the Killybrack Road includes onsite facilities for firefighter training and transport and engineering workshops.
