Explore NI With New Visitor App This Christmas
This is the perfect season to spend that little bit of extra time with family and friends, and what better way to do that than exploring the wonderfully popular sights of Northern Ireland and discovering some hidden gems along the way.
Experience Northern Ireland is a brand new innovative and user-friendly App focused on its user to take the stress out of planning trips as a local or travelling to Northern Ireland to visit. It conveniently maps and produces an itinerary of your journey on your smart phone or tablet with ease.
The app was recently introduced with the support of Carrickfergus Enterprise and an initial investment of £20,000.
Shining a light on hidden gems like quaint cafés, tours to book or off the beaten track waterfalls, Experience Northern Ireland's unique functions mean that the user can perfectly personalise trips, picking out the best places to eat, visit and stay. The time and distances from each location are calculated, organising the best trip to suit individual needs and maximising time spent together with loved ones.
Whether you live locally and want to embrace what is around the corner, or have visitors coming from out of town and you want to entertain this season, the free to download App can help you plan the perfect day out and showcase must see locations as well as revealing places that otherwise would not be discoverable without this platform.
Portia Woods from Experience Northern Ireland said: "The App is our gift not only for people locally, but for those visiting for the first time and we want everyone to maximise time spent with family and friends this season. For those who are from outside Northern Ireland, we hope they can really connect the dots as they experience what Northern Ireland has to offer and discover new places, as well as those well-known landmarks and places of interest.
"Whether you are planning a family day out with little ones or going on a full day excursion with adventurous friends, the Experience Northern Ireland App will be the go-to digital tool for planning the journey and helping to create new memories this season."
