Cannabis Plants Worth £50k Discovered In Co Fermanagh
Police in Co Fermanagh have seized cannabis plants worth an estimated £50,000.
A sophisticated growing operation was dismantled during searches of four properties in the Teemore area on Wednesday 18 December, while a man and woman were arrested on suspicion of drug related offences.
The haul also included specialist growing equipment worth around £20,000, a vehicle and cash related to the possession of suspected criminal property.
The suspects remain in police custody.
Detective Inspector Shaw from the PSNI's Organised Crime Unit said: "We will continue to do everything possible to prevent the supply of drugs and identify those involved in drugs criminality. They set out to ruin the communities that they live and operate in and they do not care about the damage that they cause, preying on those who are vulnerable. They only seek to line their own pockets at the expense of causing harm to others."
Anyone with information about the use or supply of illegal drugs in their community is urged to contact police on non-emergency line 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
