Appeal As Vehicle Hijacked At Knife Point

A Belfast driver has been left shaken after his vehicle was hijacked at knifepoint.

Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Gardiner Street area of north Belfast on Thursday morning, 16 January.

The driver of a blue-coloured Volvo V60 was approached by a man armed with a small knife as he entered a car park shortly after 6.30am.

The suspect demanded the driver's car keys and drove off towards the Divis area of west Belfast after a minor altercation.

The driver was uninjured but left badly shaken.

Police said the suspect was wearing white trainers, dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and a dark hooded top.

Enquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed the hijacking or has any relevant information is urged to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 175 of 16/01/20.

Car Hijacked In North Belfast
Police are hunting two males who hijacked a car in north Belfast. A delivery driver working in the Seaview Drive area was targeted on Monday evening, 18 November. While returning to his Volkswagen Golf car at around 10.35pm, two young males approached the vehicle and dragged him out. It is not known what direction the car made off in.

Car Hijacked In West Belfast
A masked gang of men has hijacked a car in west Belfast and forced the female driver and her passenger to get out. The driver, in her 30s, had stopped on the Glen Road at around 21:50 on Tuesday evening, when the three men attacked. She and the passenger, aged in her 20s, were removed from the vehicle.

Man's Car Hijacked In South Belfast
A man has had his car hijacked in south Belfast. Two men, one who was armed with a knife, approached the driver of a Volkswagon Golf parked in Windsor Avenue at around 5.15am. The man was threatened and after a short struggle they drove off towards the Lisburn Road.
