Arrest Made In England Over Michael Kerr's Murder

Police investigating the murder of Bangor man Michael Kerr last month have made an arrest in England.

A 50 year-old suspect was detained in Birmingham on suspicion of murder. He has been taken into custody at Musgrave Station for questioning.

The pensioner was found dead at his Birch Drive home on Tuesday 19 November.

A widower who lived his life as a creature of habit, police said Mr Kerr was the victim of a vicious beating.

Irish Police In Kerr Murder Raid
There has been an overnight raid in Co Monaghan with the Irish police searching property and seizing a number of items as part of the investigation into the murder of PSNI Constable, Ronan Kerr. Gardai raided a property in Scotstown, on Tuesday evening. No arrests were made but a number of items were taken away for forensic testing.

Appeal Following Serious Assault And Robbery In Antrim
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed in Antrim during the early hours of Monday, 18 March. The 26-year-old was walking in an alleyway adjacent to Seacash Drive at around 3.50am when he was approached by two men.
