Man Held In Lyra McKee Murder Probe

Police are continuing to question a 52 year-old man in connection with the death of journalist Lyra McKee.

Three others arrested on Tuesday have been released.

Ms McKee, aged 29, was shot dead during a night of rioting in the Creggan area of L'Derry last April.

The New IRA later claimed responsibility for her death.

A 29 year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation was released without charge, while two others aged 27 and 20 were released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Green Party Welcomes Decision To Save Promote Learning Disability Service
The Green Party has welcomed the decision by charity & social, Orchardville, to run the Promote Learning Disability Service in Bangor after it was under threat of closure. Although delighted by the news, Councillor McKee said that it was "disgraceful" that day opportunity placements for 52 adults were put under threat.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

22-Year-Old Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to six years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced to six years. He will serve three years in custody and three years on licence. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years.

Man Arrested Over Conor McKee Murder Released
A man arrested in connection with the murder of Conor McKee has been released. Mr McKee was found dead at his home was found dead at his home in Glenpark Street in North Belfast on Thursday, 07 January. He had been shot a number of times. He was on bail for drugs offences at the time of his murder.
