Suspect Charged Over North Belfast Burglaries

A man will appear in court today charged with offences related to a spate of burglaries in north Belfast.

The 35 year-old was arrested in the Brompton Park area of the city in the early hours of Thursday morning, 13 February, after a car stolen during the break-ins collided with a parked vehicle in Duneden Park.

Properties in Rosemount Gardens and Ashgrove Park had been burgled one day previously, police have said.

The man is charged with two counts of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking causing damage to a vehicle, driving when unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop when an accident occurred causing damage and driving with no insurance.

He will appear before Belfast Magistrates Court today, Friday 14.

Man Arrested After Andersonstown Road Crash
The PSNI have arrested a man in his 40s after a single vehicle crash in west Belfast. The collision happened on the Andersonstown Road at around 9.40pm on Thursday evening, 18 January. Police said the man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs and was subsequently released on bail.

Over £170,000 Of Cannabis Found In North Belfast
Police have found over £170,000 worth of cannabis at a property in North Belfast. It was discovered during a search on Clifton Park Avenue on Wednesday. No arrests were made and the property was vacant. Officers are continuing their investigations.
