Appeal Over Failed ATM Theft In Co Antrim

Police are appealing for information following an attempt to steal an ATM machine from a shop in Co Antrim.

A business on the Largy Road in Ahoghill was targeted shortly after 2.05am this morning, 21 February.

Police say a vehicle, reported as a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra, was spotted in the forecourt of the garage ramming the shutters a number of times.

A man then got out of the car and attempted to break into the ATM on site before making off from the scene empty handed.

Damage was caused to the shutters.

Police enquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed any suspicious vehicles in the area between 2.05am and 2.25am this morning is urged to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 118 of 21/02/2020.

A man aged in his 40s has escaped injury after a shot was fired at his Co Antrim home. Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena early on Monday morning, 09 March. A shot was fired at the house shortly after midnight, causing damage to a front window.

Probe Over Armed Robbery In Belfast City Centre
Police are investigating a suspected armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van in Belfast City Centre. The scene in Academy Street and Exchange Street was held at around 7.50am this morning, Tuesday 10 March, following the alleged incident. No further details have emerged as yet.
