Gas Prices Slashed By 21.5%

It's good news for thousands of bill payers across Northern Ireland as gas bills are set to fall for Firmus Energy customers.

Around 46,000 people will see their price drop by 21.5% on 01 April, saving some domestic customers an estimated £135 per year.

The price cut for natural gas across the utility's 'Ten Towns' network follows consultation with the Utility Regulator, the Consumer Council for Northern Ireland and the Department for the Economy.

Managing Director of Firmus Energy Michael Scott said: "We are delighted to be able to drop our natural gas prices again. This is more good news for customers in our Ten Towns network area and is particularly welcome against a backdrop of increased living costs. This saving follows on from a previous reduction of 8.77% in October last year and means that natural gas is now almost 30% cheaper than last summer."

Customers can expect to receive a confirmation letter in the coming days.
