Woman Arrested Amid Muckamore Abbey Probe Release

A woman arrested by detectives investigating allegations of patient abuse at a Co Antrim hospital has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The 28 year-old was the seventh person to be detained in connection with alleged ill-treatment of patients at Muckamore Abbey Hospital.

She was detained in Antrim on Wednesday 18 March before being released on Thursday.

The facility cares for people with severe learning disabilities and mental health needs.

£20m Office Scheme Takes Shape In Belfast

A £20 million project for a new office development and car parking space in Belfast city centre is taking shape.

The scheme at McCausland's Carpark on the Grosvenor Road has been underway since February 2019. When complete, it will feature 7000 square feet of office space as well as almost 600 parking spaces across the multi-storey development. This represents an additional 450 spaces for the long-running car park.

The new development is expected to reach completion this summer.

Belfast Carriageway To Close For Improvements

Roadworks have been announced on Millfield in Belfast city centre.

Approximately £100,000 is being invested to improve a section of the route along the southbound carriageway between Peter's Hill and Frances Street.

Work will begin on Monday 23 March and is expected to be completed by Saturday 28 March.

Overnight closures will be implemented between the hours of 9pm and 6am throughout the week. Diversionary routes will be clearly signed during these times.

Road users should expect some delays and allow additional time when planning any journey.

Work Begins On West Belfast Shared Space
Work is underway at the site of a £5 million park project in west Belfast. The transformational Stewartstown Road facility will be a shared space for residents and visitors when it reaches completion next spring. It will include a play park, teen space, pump track, event space, environmental learning zone and wetland habitat.

NIFRS Welcomes Graduation Of Latest 36 Wholetime Firefighters
