Man Charged Over Ballymena Murder

A 51 year-old man has been charged with the murder of businessman Inayat Shah in Ballymena, Co Antrim.

Mr Shah, a 67 year-old guesthouse owner, died from injuries sustained during an incident on the Galgorm Road at around 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon, 21 March.

The accused will appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court today, Monday 23 March.

Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery said: "My investigation into this brutal murder is ongoing and I continue to appeal for anyone who was on Galgorm Road yesdterday afternoon and who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact detectives.

"I am particularly keen to speak with anyone who was driving on the Galgorm Road in the area of the PSNI Station or the Bus Station between 3.30pm and 3.45pm and who has dash cam or mobile phone footage to get in touch with detectives at the Incident Room in Ballymena PSNI Station on 101 quoting reference 863 21/03/20."

Murder Investigation Launches After Man Found In West Belfast
A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man found in west Belfast. On Wednesday, 06 March, a man was found with serious injuries in the Cupar Street area just before 8pm. The man was treated at the scene by emergency services before being transferred to hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
