Police Investigate Fatal Collision Near Ballymena

An investigation has launched following a fatal collision near Ballymoney.

According to reports, a man aged in his 70s and a woman aged in her 40s were killed when a car and a construction vehicle collided on the Benvardin Road at about 4pm on Monday 16 November.

It is understood that the two victims were the driver and a rear passenger in the car. Two other people who were also in the vehicle at the time and are being treated in hospital.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the collision, and in particular any drivers with dashcam footage, to contact them.

Tragic Road Accidents Blight Irish Roads
A woman has been knocked down and killed in a road traffic accident in Ballymoney. The police have confirmed that the victim was a female pedestrian, aged 56, and that she died after being struck by a vehicle on the Lislagan Road on Wednesday evening. The PSNI are now appealing for anyone who was travelling in the area between 8pm and 8.

Man Dies In L'Derry Collision
A man has died following a car collision in Magherafelt, L'Derry. The man, in his 20s, was driving on the Tobermore Road at around 6.45pm on Thursday. No other vehicle was involved in the collision. The Tobermore Road has since been reopened.

Road Users Urged To Take More Care Following Serious Incidents
Police in Ards and North Down are appealing for all road users to take more care following two serious incidents on Monday 15 June. A multiple car collision occurred on the Ballyblack Road in Ards and a number of people had to be cut from their vehicles. In a separate incident, a young boy was hit by a vehicle on the High Bangor Road in Donaghadee.

Man dies after road traffic accident in south Armagh
One man has died and three men were injured following a two-car collision in south Armagh. Three men are in hospital - one in a critical condition - following an accident at Ford’s Cross, a staggered junction between Crossmaglen and Silverbridge around 9am on Sunday December 16.

Man Arrested After Woman Dies In Co Armagh Collision
A man has been arrested after a woman was killed in a crash in Co Armagh. The collision happened on the Newry Road just before 3.30am on Sunday. The 25-year-old male is being detained by police on a number of motoring offences. The road has been reopened.
