Suspected Drug Factory Uncovered In Newtownabbey

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the discovery of a suspected drug factory in Newtownabbey.

The facility was uncovered after police had earlier arrested a 45-year-old man in the Castlereagh Street area of Belfast on suspicion of a number of drugs offences.

During a police search in the Graymount Park area. During the search, police seized a number of items, including suspected Class A drugs, a quantity of various chemicals and other drug paraphernalia. All the seizures have been sent for a forensic examination.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of drugs offences.

Police said their investigation is continuing and have asked anyone with any information to contact them.

Appeal Issued For Missing Belfast Man Ciaran Dempsey
The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Ciaran Dempsey. Police have said that they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for Mr Dempsey's welfare, who was last seen in the Broadway area of Belfast at about 2.30am on Friday 23 July.

Man Found With 'Stab Wound To The Neck' In L'Derry
Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information after a man was found with a "stab wound to his neck". It is understood at around 4am this morning police responded to a report of an injured man in the Meadowbank Avenue area. The man remains in hospital. It is understood that his wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

First Minister Attends Dedication Ceremony Of New UK Police Memorial
NI's First Minister Paul Givan has attended a dedication ceremony of a new UK Police Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Mr Givan laid a wreath commemorating all those from across the police service who had died on duty and said the memorial was a fitting tribute to those who had lost their lives to protect us all.

Man Charged Over PSNI Drugs Find
Detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch have charged a 36-year-old male with four counts of possessing a class A controlled drug and intent to supply, after police stopped and searched a car in the Hillsborough Road area of Lisburn on Saturday afternoon.
