Executive To Meet To Give Dates For Reopening Of Close Contact Services

The Northern Ireland Executive is to meet on Thursday, 15 April, to discuss the easing of the current Covid lockdown restrictions, according to reports.

The re-opening of hairdressers, non-essential retail and the hospitality and leisure industries are expected to be discussed.

First Minister Arlene Foster said: "My colleague Diane Dodds has put papers in, in relation to the lifting of restrictions in terms of close contact services, hairdressers, beauticians and for non-essential retail which of course is very important as well.

"I do hope that we will be able to give dates in relation to those issues when we next go to the Executive to look at these issues. I think what you will see coming out of the next executive [meeting] are some timelines."
