Appeal Issued After Man Smashes Windows On Speed Van

Police are appealing for information after the windows of a Road Safety Partnership speed van were smashed by a man on Wednesday, 19 May.

The van was parked on the North Road in Carrickfergus an a ale attacked the vehicle with a baseball bat and caused damage to the windscreen, two side windows and a rear window.

The suspect is described as wearing a grey and black hooded top and was wearing a black mask.

Inspector Rosie Leech said: "Enquiries are continuing and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dashcam footage or any other information to contact police on 101 quoting reference 880- 19/05/21."

Convicted Sex Offender Hands Himself In To Police
A convicted sex offender who was unlawfully at large in England has handed himself in to Northern Ireland police. PSNI appealed for help in finding Fermanagh man James Taggart last week, reporting he was seen recently in the Essex area. Appeal Issued For Missing Belfast Man Ciaran Dempsey
The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Ciaran Dempsey. Police have said that they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for Mr Dempsey's welfare, who was last seen in the Broadway area of Belfast at about 2.30am on Friday 23 July.
