61-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies In Collision In Comber

Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Comber on Wednesday 14 July.

A 61-year-old motorcyclist, named by the PSNI as Norman Moore, died after his red Honda motorcycle crashed on the Belfast Road at 10.35pm last night.

Emergency services, including Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and police, attended the scene where the rider of the bike was pronounced dead.

Inspector Julian Buchanan said: "The man who sadly died was Norman Moore, aged 61 years old, from the Dundonald area.

"As we continue with our enquiries today, I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have captured it on their dash cam, to call us on 101, quoting reference number 2267 of 14/07/21."

Belfast Road is likely to remain closed for some time as officers continue to conduct enquiries at the scene. Diversions are in place.

On 10 June, police received a report shortly before 4.50pm that at around 4.15pm a man had entered a store in the Ormeau Road area with a large holdall.
