Appeal For Information Following Arson Attack In West Belfast

Police have issued an appeal for information following an arson attack in west Belfast.

According to reports, a flat at Glasvey Drive was targeted when a wheelie bin was pushed up against the front door and set alight at around 5am on Sunday.

It is understood that there are no reports of any injuries as a result of the fire but residents of neighbouring flats had to he rescued by neighbours and a passing taxi driver.

Police have appealed for anyone with information, or anyone who witnessed anything suspicious to contact them.

Terrorism Threat Level Reduced To 'SUBSTANTIAL'
The threat of a terrorist attack in Northern Ireland has been lowered from 'SEVERE' to 'SUBSTANTIAL' by UK Security Service, MI5. This means that the threat of terrorism has gone from 'Highly likely' to 'likely'.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Appeal For Information On 'Brutal Attack' In L'Derry
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the "brutal attack" on a man in the Lecky Road area of L'Derry on Tuesday 25 October. According to reports, a 38-year-old man was attacked by two men wielding iron bars, outside flats, shortly before 9pm.
