NI Athletes Compete At 2020 Paralympic Games In Tokyo

Minister's have wished all NI athletes competing at the 2020 Paralympic Games all the very best in Tokyo.

First Minister Paul Givan said: "As the Paralympic Games get under way, it is great to see our hugely talented Paralympians competing on the biggest stage. To be selected for the Paralympic Games is an incredible achievement. It has taken our athletes years of hard work, dedication and sacrifice to get to this point, and I wish them all the best of luck as they go for gold in Tokyo."

Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill said: "I want to wish all our amazing athletes, and their coaches and support teams, every success as the 2020 Paralympic Games get under way in Tokyo.

"Our Paralympians are incredible role models who have shown great dedication, determination and courage throughout their sporting careers to now compete at the Paralympics. These athletes are an inspiration and I hope their efforts in Tokyo will inspire others to participate in sport and become the sports stars of the future."
