Four Arrested During Lisburn Vehicle Stop

Four people have been arrested during a vehicle stop in the Lisburn area.

Police stopped the vehicle, a Skoda Fabia, after the new Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Intercept Team identified the car as connected to a number of thefts and attempted thefts in the Armagh and Lisburn areas.

It is understood that items valued in excess of £600 were recovered from the vehicle.

Four people were in the car at the time of the stop, with police detaining all four.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact police.

Man Pleads Guilty To Number Of Sexual Offences Against Children
A 31-year-old man who travelled to Belfast to meet what he thought was a 13-year-old girl, has pleaded guilty to a number of sexual abuse offences against children. Anil Patel pled guilty to attempted sexual communication with a child, arranging the commission of a child sex offence and possessing extreme pornography of children.

Three In Hospital After Police Vehicle Collides With Another Vehicle
Two police officers and a civilian remain in hospital following a collision in Newry on Saturday, 13 April. It is understood that the police officers were travelling in a police vehicle to attend a separate incident at about 7.30pm when they collided with another vehicle on the Fathom Road.

Former City Centre Police Station To Become New 74-Bedroom Hotel
A former police station in Belfast city centre is to be redeveloped for a new 74-bedroom hotel. Belfast City Council's Planning Committee approved the development on Queen Street, along with granting Listed Building Consent to bring the building into use again.

Police Attacked By Young People In West Belfast
The PSNI have condemned the assault of four police officers when they were attacked by young people in West Belfast. At around 6:50pm on Saturday, 06 April, police received a report in relation to community concerns that a large group of young people had congregated in Falls Park and that alcohol was being consumed by children.
