Police Investigating Reports Of Shots Fired In L'Derry

Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information following a suspected shooting incident.

Shots were reportedly fired in the Sevenoaks area of the city at about 9:40pm. There are no reports of any injuries.

Murder inquiry launched after Markets body find
A murder inquiry has been launched after the body of a man was discovered in a flat in the Markets area of Belfast. Neighbours found the body in an upstairs flat in Friendly Place at 7.45am on Monday. Police believe the 38-year-old man had been beaten. Two men have been arrested by detectives and are helping them with their inquiries.

Police revolver lost after north Belfast rioting
A police revolver has been lost during serious rioting in north Belfast. Police said the weapon, which contained six rounds of ammunition, was 'mislaid' after rioting erupted in north Belfast on Sunday night. Three police officers were injured in the disturbances, which erupted in the nationalist Spamount Street area.

Vandals target graves at Newtownabbey cemetery
Police in Newtownabbey have appealed for information after a number of graves were vandalised at Carnmoney cemetery over the weekend. Reports were received at around 7.10pm yesterday that around 30 graves, which are understood to have been selected at random, had been damaged.

Man accused of sword attack released on bail
A man accused of attempting to murder two men in Newry with a samurai sword has been released on bail. Mark McNulty, 22, of Canal Street in Newry, was accused of stabbing the two men with a sword, as well as threatening to kill a third man, during the alleged incident in the Co Down city last month.

Shots Fired In Bangor Disturbances
Six people have been struck with baton rounds as police responded to gunshots fired at officers during a disturbance in Bangor, County Down. Up to 200 people were involved in the disturbances in the Kilcooley Estate on Wednesday night and police have said that shots were fired at officers.
