Man Dies In Strabane Collision

Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal two-vehicle collision outside Strabane, County Tyrone.

A man, aged in his 20s, has died after the white Transporter van was involved in a collision with a red Scania cement lorry on the Victoria Road near Ballymagorry at about 3.25pm on Tuesday 07 December.

The PSNI have said that the driver of the cement lorry remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision, in particular anyone with dashcam footage of the collision, is asked to contact police.

Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 33-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Thomas Markey received a seven year custodial sentence, to serve half in prison and half on license. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register indefinitely and subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for ten years.

Man Pleads Guilty To Being Getaway Driver In North Belfast Robberies
A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to seven and half years after pleading guilty to being involved as a getaway driver in two robberies. Ross Thompson will serve three years and nine months in custody, with the remaining three years and nine months on licence.

Man Stabbed Multiple Times In North Belfast
A man, aged in his 30s, is being treated in hospital following a serious stabbing incident in north Belfast. Police have issued an appeal for information after the man was stabbed a number of times in a incident at his own flat at Queen's Parade in the New Lodge areas. Police have said that the incident occurred at around 00:20 on Tuesday morning.

A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to three years at Laganside Crown Court for a range of drug and counterfeit currency charges. Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's Organised Crime Branch have welcomed the sentence handed down to Samuel McKeag.

Man Shot And Beaten In Bushmills Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of following a shooting incident in the Woodvale Park area of Bushmills last night, Wednesday 11th May. Shortly after 11.10pm it was reported that a number of masked men entered a house armed with a gun and "wooden weapons".
