Letter bombs sent to politicians
Two separate letter bombs have been sent to the offices of DUP deputy leader, Peter Robinson and SDLP policing spokesperson, Alex Attwood.
The first device was discovered at the constituency office of Mr Robinson on the Belmont Road in east Belfast on Tuesday morning.
A second device was discovered a short time later at the Policing Board's offices in Clarendon Docks in Belfast, addressed to Mr Attwood.
Army bomb experts were called and the devices were taken away for forensic examination.
Mr Robinson described the attack as a "futile attempt to undermine those who have received a mandate from the people of Northern Ireland by those who have no support in the community.
"Those who sent the device which was packed with shotgun pellets and designed to kill demonstrate a reckless disregard for life, and it is clear that they have nothing positive to offer," he added.
Both the Secretary of State, Paul Murphy and NIO Minister Ian Pearson condemned the attacks.
Mr Pearson, said the attacks were an "affront to democracy" in Northern Ireland.
"These incidents are direct attacks on the democratic process and they only make us more determined in our resolve to see a complete and permanent end to all paramilitary activity," he added.

Investigation Launched Into Petrol Bomb Attack In Ballymena
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a petrol bomb incident in the Queen Street area of Ballymena. Shortly before 10.15pm on Monday, March 4, it was reported that two petrol bombs were thrown through the living room window of a house in the area. Neither of the petrol bombs ignited.

DUP Remains 'Focused On The Task Ahead'
The DUP remains "focused on the task ahead", interim leader Gavin Robinson has said in his first public comment since the arrest of former leader Jeffrey Donaldson. Donaldson resigned as party leader on Friday, 29 March, following his arrest on charges of rape and other historical sexual offences.

Four Men Arrested Over Explosive Device Found In West Belfast
Four men have been arrested after a viable explosive device was found in west Belfast last year. The device was an explosively formed projectile which is designed to attack armoured vehicles and kill the occupants within, according to the police. The discovery was made in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October.

Two Men Arrested Over Bomb Attack On Police Released
Two men arrested in connection with a bomb attack on police in Strabane, Co Tyrone, have been released. A device exploded in the Townsend street area on Tuesday, 21 March, and the officers were "extremely lucky to escape injury", according to the PSNI. The men, aged 20 and 31, were released unconditionally. The investigation is ongoing.
