Yellow Warning For Snow And Wind

A new Yellow Warning has been issued for wind and snow on Wednesday and Thursday this week, covering counties Antrim, Tyrone, Fermanagh, and Londonderry.

The Met Office has said that temperatures are set to "drop sharply" on Wednesday evening with snow showers developing throughout the evening.

It is warned that there could be up to 30cm of snowfall over higher ground and up to 10cm of snow for some low levels.

The forecaster however added that due to the nature of the showers, not everywhere will get snow.

Blustery conditions are also expected as well as blizzard conditions on higher ground. Gusts of wind between 50-60mph can be expected inland, with up to 70mph around coasts.
