Aggravated Burglary In Castlederg

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of an aggravated burglary in Castlederg on Tuesday 5th April.

Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Galbraith said: "Shortly after 6pm, four males, wearing masks and carrying weapons, forced entry to a house in the Drumnaby Park area.

"They chased the occupant of the property, who was at home at the time, and gained access to the occupant’s vehicle, a white Volkswagen Tiguan, which one of the intruders subsequently made off in.

"The vehicle was later located burnt out in the Folliard Road area of Sions Mills.

"The householder sustained a fractured leg during the incident, and was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity, or have any dash cam footage which could assist us, to call 101, and quote reference number 1362 of 05/04/22."

Four Charged In Connection With Blake Newland Murder
Four people are due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland. The Limavady teenager died after being found with serious stab wounds at a house in the town on Friday, 02 February. Men Sentenced For Ballymena Drug And Money Laundering Operation
Three men were sentenced for offences linked to a drugs and money laundering operation in the Ballymena area yesterday, 31 January. At Antrim Crown Court, Troy Carley (27), Neil Lowry (30) and Marc Mitchell (32) were sentenced for a number of offences.

Investigation Launches After Stabbing Incident In Strabane
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a stabbing incident in Strabane in the early hours of Sunday, 12th May. A report was received shortly before 1.40am stating that a man, aged in his 20s, was found with injuries believed to have been caused by a knife.
