Police Attacked During Search Operation In L'Derry
Police have come under attack in L'Derry while attempting to carry out search operations.
Officers from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force were carrying out simultaneous searches at houses in L'Derry and Strabane, as part of an operation targeting the Irish National Liberation Army (INLA). Two police vehicles were badly damaged with stones, masonry and fireworks were thrown at vehicles in Brookdale Park, in the Galliagh area. However there were no reports of any officers being injured.
During the search operation, a 40-year-old man was arrested under the Terrorism Act by police and remains in custody.

Ards Man Fined For Dumping Waste At Bonfire Site
A 51-year-old has been fined for bonfire-related waste offences at Newtownards Magistrates' Court. Gareth Gill, of Abbot's Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in the town.

9-Year-Old Dies In Bike Collision In Ballymena
The PSNI has issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Ballymena. A nine-year-old has died, and another 13-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital, after they collided while riding bikes in the Dunclug area of Ballymena at around 16:55 on Thursday, 16 June.

Funeral for dinghy tragedy teenager
A Coleraine teenager, who drowned off the coast of Castlerock, is to be buried today. Robert McMullan, 15, died when the dinghy he was in with a friend got into difficulties and capsized on Tuesday. He was airlifted to hospital, but died later. His friend managed to swim to shore and raised the alarm.

Man arrested over Belfast cannabis find
Following a planned search operation in south Belfast yesterday, officers seized around 14 cannabis plants and a quantity of paraphernalia associated with drugs. One man was arrested following the raid at the property in the Stranmillis Wharf area of the city, however was later released pending a report.

PSNI In Joint Search Operation
A joint search operation has been launched by the PSNI, South Wales Police and the UK Border Agency for a missing 34-year-old man. It is understood that the agencies are looking for Khalil Fawzy, who was allegedly last seen on Newry Road, Warrenpoint Harbour, at around 16:45 on Sunday.
