North Belfast Security Alert

A security alert is ongoing in north Belfast following the discovery of a suspicious object.

Emergency services are at the scene of the discovery in Cedar Avenue. A number of residents have been evacuated as police examine the suspicious object.

Motorists and pedestrians have been urged to avoid the area. Diversions have been put in place at the junctions with Cavehill Road and Vancouver Drive.
